People on the beach.

If you are too late to take action against the cooling of your fingers, the thawing process are always accompanied with some heavy pain. Consequently it ought to be a rule that when a windsurfer comes ashore in this state of pain, he/she is not addressed by any kind of people (spectators or other windsurfers) standing on the beach - at least for a couple of minutes.

And if the people on the beach can't resist the temptation to talk to the windsurfer in pain it's not unimportant what they are saying. As a windsurfer hit by the severe and painful cold from thawing up your fingers, you are seldom very amused to have to listen to the reasons why (often VEEERY interesting and dangerous diseases) these wannabe windsurfers UNFORTUNATELY are not on the water themselves. According to these babblers it's strangely enough seldom the cold that keep them from the water.
